Tania Sigman, a South Florida native, served as an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County for more than five years and has tried more than 50 jury trials. She handled cases ranging from misdemeanors and 3rd degree felonies to 1st degree felonies, punishable by life. As a prosecutor, she was also assigned to the Crimes Against Children division. Ms. Sigman graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Spanish. While at Western Carolina University she was captain of the Women’s Tennis Team, was an Academic All-American, served on the Athletic Director’s Student Advisory Board, and was a member of the Honors Program. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2001. While at the University of Alabama she worked as a fellowship student for the Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program and participated in a clinic with the Public Defender’s Office. She also worked in the field of special education and as an advocate for domestic violence victims. In her free time, Ms. Sigman studies the violin, and has a passion for music, the arts, and animal rights. She has an interest in medical issues and attends continuing medical education courses for physicians to keep apprised of current standard of care issues. Ms. Sigman also contributes to the arts and other charitable organizations and is a member of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches.
