Jay W. Eng, a Palm Beach County native, began his legal career as a trial court law clerk at the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit advising circuit court judges in the civil and criminal divisions of the court. Among Mr. Eng’s accomplishments at the court was the reduction of a large backlog of criminal appeals before the circuit court. Thereafter, Mr. Eng served as a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Ann Vitunac managing the court’s civil docket.

After his federal clerkship, Mr. Eng began practicing at Carlton Fields, P.A., representing corporate clients in a variety of business and commercial litigation matters, including contracts, non-compete agreements, claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices, and the defense of class actions in state and federal courts throughout South Florida.

Thereafter, Mr. Eng began advising and representing individuals and public pension funds in securities litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Such actions involved complex litigation claims including accounting and financial fraud, breaches of fiduciary duties, and professional negligence.
