Hubie McGinley's practice started at Carlton Fields in Tampa more than 20 years ago. He joined Kubicki Draper in West Palm Beach where he became an Equity Shareholder. He has extensive experience handling a wide variety of business disputes and litigation, including construction litigation, accountant malpractice, legal malpractice, securities litigation and arbitration, bad faith claims, insurance agent defense, wrongful death, product liability and catastrophic injury cases. Mr. McGinley has successfully tried more than 100 jury trials and arbitrations across the state of Florida. He has achieved the prestigious AV® Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, signifying "very high" ethical standards, reliability and diligence and "very high to preeminent" legal ability. Mr. McGinley is on the Executive Board of the Palm Beach Chapter of the American Board of Trial Attorneys ("ABOTA"). ABOTA is an invitation only group of experienced trial attorneys "who display skill, civility and integrity." Florida Trend magazine in 2010 named Mr. McGinley as part of the Florida "legal elite" recognizing the top tier of attorneys practicing in Florida as chosen by members of the Florida Bar. Attorneys listed represent only 1.8% of the active Florida Bar members who practice in the state. Since 1989, in addition to representing individuals and private companies in actions involving claims of professional negligence or business disputes, Mr. McGinley has served as Approved Counsel for some of the world's largest insurance companies, including AIG, ACE, Arch, Allstate, Catlin, GEICO, Hartford, Liberty Mutual, Lloyd's of London, Progressive, State Farm, St. Paul, Nationwide, and Zurich North American. Mr. McGinley is a native of Philadelphia and a 1989 Honors Graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School. He competed on the prestigious National Trial Moot Court Team and was recipient of the Edward F. Barrett Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Art of Trial Advocacy. He has served on the Executive Board of the Gulfstream Council for Boy Scouts of America and was recognized by the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach for providing outstanding pro bono service in 2007. Mr. McGinley is married to Lori. Hubie and Lori have four children: Claire, Caroline, Hugh and Jack. Hubie enjoys golf, watching his children's soccer and lacrosse games, and Notre Dame Football tail-gating. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process.
